Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Kaufman.
Adam, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I wanted to escape the cold winters in New York so I moved to Miami right after graduating college with a degree in Education. I started in Florida as a high school history teacher then about a year later, made the jump into real estate sales. I always found the real estate industry intriguing and fascinating through being around my uncle, Jerry Kaufman who is a real estate sales and marketing pioneer in South Florida and with encouragement from him, I got my license. I started as an on-site sales agent in Aventura for a large national condominium converter where I exceled and saw my passion for the business grow. After years of sales success at multiple developments, I transitioned into sales management. I enjoy senior management because it blends my roots as an educator with the excitement of sales. For the past eight years, I have been overseeing sales and operations for a local Aventura firm where I take a very hands-on approach with all aspects of the business.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Whether it’s in the real estate business or any other industry, I believe the only way you learn and grow professionally is through making mistakes and failing on occasion. Aligning yourself with a good and trusted mentor is especially key, I was lucky enough to have that.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
We are a sales and marketing firm specializing and focusing on luxury condominium sales. If the opportunity is right, we look to buy the remaining inventory at select developments and then sell the condominium residences as principals. We have done this most recently at Veer towers in Las Vegas and Peninusla on the Intracoastal in Palm Beach county. Outside of my two amazing children, I am most proud of our company’s tremendous track record and direct hands-on approach in every aspect of our daily business from our senior management team of Mark Pordes and myself. In our business, its all about serving the client and it doesn’t matter whether the client is a mega-developer, buyer for one of our condos, realtor or one of our sales agents; everyone deserves the same amount of attention and respect.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
There have been too many to name but I have to say that getting the listings for the two remaining ultra-luxury residences (Penthouse and Beach house) at Regalia in Sunny Isles is definitely at the top. I was involved in the project at the beginning and now to have the two best residences in all of Miami to sell feels like it has come full circle!
